Vintage Mexican silver jewelry and metalwork auctions November 1

Lot 292A: Los Castillo Copper and Silver Bowl – “A fantastic oval triangle bowl with brass on the lip/handle and a primitive silver fish decoration in the center. 3 applied ball feet on bottom; 7.25 L x 13.5″ W. Stamped Los Castillo TAXCO. Together with an egg shape bowl with triangle shapes in mixed metals. 2 ball feet applied to bottom to hold it slightly upright; 6″ L. Stamped on bottom, “Hand Wrought Hecho en Mexico A 5″. Excellent condition. Estimated Price: $400 – $700; Auction Date: November 1, 2009, 10:00 AM EST”

Lot 259: Collection of six sterling table articles – “Collection of six sterling table articles. Table articles include four napkin rings both sets are monogramed. Glass perfume bottle with sterling floral overlay. Signed sterling ashtray. Ashtray measures 4.5″ and is signed Sanborns Mexico sterling and Hecho En Mexico R. Sanchez E sterling 925. Perfume bottle measures 3″ high and is stamped sterling mexico. Napkin rings are also marked sterling. 305 grams TW. Auction Date: November 1, 2009, 10:00 AM EST; Estimated Price: $200 – $300″

Lot 391: Sterling Silver & Tiger Eye Necklace & Earrings – “Exceptional Mexican sterling silver and tiger eye stones demi parure of a choker style necklace and matching pierced earrings. Beautiful modernist design with bezel set tiger eye stones in a triangular form. Necklace measures 6.5″ long with clasp closed. Earrings measure 1″ long. Signed TS-45 Mexico 925. 140 grams total weight with stones. Estimated Price: $400 – $600″
