Agnes Seebass Mexican silver and gold bracelet
Love this handcrafted bracelet by Agnes Seebass! The bracelet is offered by a Top-rated eBay seller, and the auction ends on Wednesday, June 23rd. Quite a few people are “watching” this auction on eBay.
Here’s an excerpt from the seller’s description:
This is a GORGEOUS and RARE sterling silver bracelet that was hand wrought in Cuernavaca, Mexico, by the very talented silver artist, AGNES SEEBASS. Agnes was born in West Germany in 1966 and has always loved working with her hands. After studying architecture and French in Bremen and France, she studied jewelry design and production techniques with designers in Germany. In 1992, she won a scholarship to study silversmithing at the Los Castillo workshop in Taxco. She later opened her own shop in Taxco which she moved to Cuernavaca. Ms. Seebass does not work from design drawings as she works directly with the silver ~ all of her art-to-wear pieces are 100% hand fabricated using no industrial processes (like stamping or the lost wax method) so that each piece is “one of a kind” and so very special! Some of her exceptional pieces were included in the exhibit “Maestros de Plata, William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance ~ Maestros de Plata” and are shown in the companion book (with the same name as the exhibit and written by Penny Morrill) photo plates Fig. 104 and Fig. 105, on page 67. This bracelet is masterfully crafted in bold and artistic design that has a great art deco flair…
