She opened her shop in 1953 and her primary designers were Jose Luis Flores (who also designed for Maestro Hector Aguilar), Miguel Garcia Martinez, Victor Jaimez and Francisco Rivera to name a few. Her shop was described as “a small and beautiful shop” ~ it closed in 1971. The set is masterfully crafted in an stunning design that has a great art nouveau look. The necklace consists of a sterling silver links with overlapping scroll flourishes, hand chased designs and silver bead accents. The recesses of the design are oxidized which lends depth and dimension and the silver has a rich, warm patina that only age can bring. The links are connected with rectangular silver links that are part of the design which gives the necklace beautiful, uninterrupted design flow. The links are connected at the top which allows the necklace to lay gracefully when worn. The clasp is a tongue and box closure that works perfectly and closes with a crisp ‘click’. The screwback earrings are made in a complimentary design and the screwbacks work as they should.
