Fab vintage Margot de Taxco enamel lariat bullfighter necklace

Quite a few people are watching the auction for a vintage Margot de Taxco (Margo Van Voorhies Carr) silver and enamel lariat necklace now on eBay. The auction (which began with a $9.99 opening bid) ends on Tuesday, May 25th.

From the seller’s description:

Central to this piece is the Toreador ~ Bull Fighter with his beautifully adorned suit and red cape open and dancing in the air. Completing and balancing out the lariat necklace are two beautiful, arte deco style tabs at the base of each tie.

The Toreador measures 2 1/4″ long by 1 3/4″ wide. The tabs at the base are 1 1/8″ long (including the attachment mechanism.)

In beautiful vintage condition with original leather lariat. The lightest of enamel loss would seem to imply that the piece has been lovingly cared for and kept for many years with very little wearing. Heavy, original oxidation on the reverse. Fully and correctly hallmarked for Margot de Taxco’s work.
