Wayjo Vintage, an eBay seller with 100% positive feedback, has a lovely silver leaf dish by Hector Aguilar. From the seller’s description:

“The piece measures 5″ long x 4 1/2″ wide and sits on a coiled silver wire stem base. It’s in very good vintage condition with normal surface wear. There are a few small spots of tarnish that you might want to polish out. We’ll leave that to the winner. There’s no damage that we can see. It weighs 124 grams. Hallmarked as shown. Taxco 940, with Aguilar’s conjoined HA mark.”

Hector Aguilar, of course, is one of the great names in Mexican silver and Taxco. He managed William Spratling’s Taller de Las Delicias from 1936-1939 and then opened his own workshop. Aguilar is one of the most popular and collectible of the vintage Mexican silver designers.
