Following his stint as manager of William Spratling’s Las Delicias, Hector Aguilar opened his own business, Taller Borda, in Taxco, Mexico. Aguilar and his master silversmiths created dramatic jewelry and large silver pieces.
The work that emerged from the Taller Borda reached a high level of excellence, with designs inspired by nature and the indigenous past.
