This is an EXTRAORDINARY sterling silver bracelet that was hand wrought in Taxco, Mexico, after 1948, by silver master artist, ERIKA HULT de CORRAL. ERIKA is an award winning designer and artist. After studying at the Parsons School of Design in Paris, she worked with renowned artists Sigi (Sigfrido) Pineda and Enrique Ledesma before opening her own shop. This bracelet is masterfully crafted in heavy gauge silver in an elegant modernist design that has a great art deco look. It is hinged on either side and has a tongue and box closure in the back which works perfectly and closes with a crisp ‘click’ ~ there is an attached safety. The front of the bracelet has large flowing lines ~ it really makes a STATEMENT!!! Thee silver has a warm patina that only age can bring. This is a bold and beautiful bracelet designed and made by ERIKA HULT de CORRAL ~ it is extremely well made in a timeless design that will always be fashionable ~ collector and heirloom quality ~ quite simply, THE BEST!!!
SIZE: Inside circumference when closed is 6-1/4″, inside diameter is 2-1/8″, width/drop in front is 2-5/8″, width in back is 1/2″, and weight is 68.4 grams.
CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition ~ no dents or dings in silverwork ~ minor surface scratches due to normal wear and age (and desirable on a vintage piece!) ~ no damage noted ~ just about PERFECT used condition!
HALLMARKS: “RIC, TAXCO, STERLING, 925, 40 (design number), and the Eagle 3 assay mark (on the tongue portion of the clasp)”. ERIKA HULT de CORRAL is shown on page 53 of Bille Hougart’s highly respected source book, The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks (2006 edition).
