Back in August, 2004, Monica Clare McLaughlin, Heritage Editor at JCK Online, published an article that gives vintage Mexican silver collectors and enthusiasts a succinct but useful overview of Spratling in Taxco. You can view or download the MS Word document here.
The article mentions Spratling’s association with the American company, Silson Inc. – he provided designs that were produced in Rhode Island and New York. I came across one such piece on Bonanzle, a sterling silver pin:
