In the loupe

If you collect vintage Mexican jewelry, or really any kind of jewelry, you need to be able to look closely at hallmarks, stones, settings, and other aspects of a piece of jewelry. You need a jeweler’s loupe.

A loupe is basically a magnifying glass that has been designed to meet the needs of jewelers (works well for coin collectors too!). I found one that is really good value – the Triplet Jeweler’s Loupe 30X.

The quality is excellent, the weight feels good and balanced, and it comes with a leather case. The Triplet Jeweler’s Loupe 30X is a professional grade loupe, and the price makes it an excellent deal.

If you don’t have a loupe already, this is a good one to get.
